Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy is a myofascial release technique that is used to ease muscle tension, relieve fascial restrictions and improve mobility. In our office, a plastic cup is applied over the involved area and the skin and underlying tissues are pulled into the cup via suction, which helps to decompress muscles and connective tissue. Benefits to cupping therapy may include improved circulation, facilitation of the body's natural healing process, relief of myofascial tension and tightness and improved mobility.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a form of myofascial release in which the practitioner uses tools, often stainless steel implements, in order remove tissue adhesions, relieve restrictions and improve range of motion. We also offer various soft tissue therapies like percussion massage and Active Release Therapy (ART).

Functional Movement Screening
As humans, our bodies were made to MOVE. At Evolve, we believe that moving well is a key component to achieving the highest levels of health and wellness. To support our practice members, we offer functional movement screenings to uncover dysfunctional movement patterns. We also provide individuals with a unique plan to improve these areas and offer many tools including rehabilitative exercises, private or group yoga instruction, and various soft tissue therapies.

Dry Needling
Dry Needling uses the precise placement of acupuncture needles to deactivate myofascial trigger points. This not only alleviates pain, but also helps restore normal muscle function and increase range of motion. By using needles, we are able to reach deeper into the muscles and fascial tissues to help alleviate tension and tightness that other modalities may not be able to reach. Trigger points are areas found in the muscle fibers that are stuck in a contracted state. By inserting needles into those trigger points, we are sending signals to the brain to begin tissue repair in that area. Treatment techniques are based on concepts of modern medicine and are not to be considered acupuncture.
